Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Position in a suitable location.

  1. Choose location: Place on a level, solid floor away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  2. Ventilation: Ensure at least 5 cm clearance at back and sides for air circulation.
  3. Level the appliance: Adjust the front feet using a wrench for stability.
  4. Connect to power: Plug into a grounded 220-240V AC, 50Hz outlet. Use a dedicated circuit.
  5. Door reversal (optional): Follow instructions in separate door reversal kit if needed.

WARNING! The freezer is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure it is level to prevent vibration and door misalignment.

First-Time Setup

After installation, allow the freezer to stand upright for at least 4 hours before first use.

  1. Initial power on: Plug in and switch on. The control panel will illuminate.
  2. Set temperature: Press the temperature button to set desired freezer temperature (recommended -18°C).
  3. Pre-cool: Allow the empty freezer to run for 3-4 hours to reach optimal temperature.
  4. Load food: Place food items inside, avoiding blocking air vents.
  5. Activate SuperCool: Use the SuperCool function if loading a large amount of unfrozen food.

CAUTION! Do not load the freezer with warm food immediately after power-on. This can raise the internal temperature and affect other stored items.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Access all functions via the electronic control panel located on the front exterior.

Control Panel Icons/Functions: Power On/Off, Temperature Adjustment (+/-), SuperCool (snowflake icon), Alarm Reset/Mute, Child Lock (key icon).

Temperature Setting: Range typically from -24°C to -16°C. Press temp buttons to adjust; display shows set temperature. SuperCool Function: Activates maximum cooling for approx. 24 hours or until manually turned off. Ideal for new shopping. Door Alarm: Sounds a beep and flashes a light if door is open for more than 2 minutes. Press any button to mute. Child Lock: Press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds to enable/disable. Prevents unintended setting changes.

Storage Organization

Optimize freezing performance and organization using the adjustable interior.

  1. Shelves: Upper shelves are ideal for prepared meals, ice cream, and smaller items.
  2. Drawers/Baskets: Lower compartments are best for bulkier items like meat, fish, and frozen vegetables.
  3. Door Storage: Use for frequently accessed items like frozen herbs, ice packs, or small packages.
  4. Air Circulation: Do not overpack. Ensure space between items for cold air to circulate.
  5. Labeling: Label and date packages for easy identification and to follow "first in, first out" principle.

Tip: Pre-freeze berries or herbs on a tray before bagging to prevent clumping.

Special Functions

Utilize advanced features for convenience and efficiency.

  1. SuperCool: Press the SuperCool button before adding a large amount of unfrozen food. The function runs for about 24 hours then automatically switches off.
  2. Holiday Mode: If going away for weeks, press and hold the SuperCool and Temp Down buttons for 5 seconds. This sets a slightly higher, energy-saving temperature while maintaining food safety.
  3. Alarm Mute: If the door alarm sounds, simply closing the door will stop it. To temporarily mute the audible alarm (e.g., during cleaning), press any button on the control panel.
  4. Fast Freeze Zone: Some models have a dedicated shelf or drawer marked for fastest freezing. Use this area for items that need to freeze quickly.

WARNING! Do not use sharp objects to remove ice (not required with NoFrost). Do not block the internal air vents with food packaging.

Energy Saving Tips

Maximize efficiency and reduce running costs.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the freezer before any cleaning. Never use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or solvents.

  1. Interior: Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  2. Door Seals: Clean gently with water only to maintain elasticity.
  3. Exterior: Clean the cabinet and control panel with a soft, damp cloth. For stainless steel models, use appropriate cleaner.
  4. Condenser Coils: Vacuum the rear grille annually to remove dust buildup for optimal efficiency.

CAUTION! Do not use steam cleaners. Do not pour water into the interior or over the appliance. Never use mechanical devices to speed up defrosting (NoFrost makes this unnecessary).
