Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Position on a level, stable floor.

  1. Choose Location: Place in a dry, well-ventilated area away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  2. Level the Appliance: Use adjustable feet to ensure the freezer is perfectly level for proper door seal.
  3. Clearance: Maintain at least 2 inches (5 cm) clearance at back and sides for air circulation.
  4. Electrical Connection: Plug into a dedicated 120V AC, 60Hz grounded outlet. Do not use an extension cord.
  5. Door Reversal (Optional): Follow instructions in separate door reversal kit if needed.

WARNING! The freezer is heavy; use two people for moving. Ensure it is level to prevent door issues and vibration.

First-Time Setup

After installation, allow the freezer to stand upright for several hours before plugging in.

  1. Initial Power On: Plug in the appliance. The control panel will illuminate.
  2. Set Temperature: Press the temperature button to set the desired freezer temperature (recommended -18°C / 0°F).
  3. SuperFreeze: Activate the SuperFreeze function for 24 hours before loading with food to ensure optimal cooling.
  4. Load Food: Once the interior is cold, arrange food items, leaving space for air circulation.

Specifications

Controls and Settings

Control Panel located on the front exterior (often on the door).

Buttons/Functions: Power/On-Off, Temperature Adjustment (+/-), SuperFreeze (activates rapid freezing), Alarm Reset/Mute.

Display Icons: Set Temperature, Actual Temperature, SuperFreeze Active, Alarm (Temperature or Door Open), Power On.

Settings: Use the temperature buttons to set between -14°F to -22°F (-26°C to -30°C). SuperFreeze runs for approx. 24 hours or until manually turned off. The alarm can often be acknowledged/silenced by pressing a button.

Storage Organization

Utilize adjustable interior components for efficient storage.

  1. Shelves: Use upper shelves for smaller items, frozen goods in boxes.
  2. Drawers: Ideal for bulk items, frozen vegetables, meat, and fish. Label drawers for easy identification.
  3. Door Bins: Store ice packs, frozen juice concentrates, or frequently used items.
  4. Ice Cube Tray: Fill with water and place on a shelf or in a designated compartment.
  5. Air Circulation: Do not overpack. Leave space between items for cold air to circulate.

Tip: Pre-freeze food in portion sizes and use airtight containers or freezer bags to prevent freezer burn.

NoFrost Technology

The NoFrost system automatically circulates dry, cold air, preventing humidity from condensing and forming ice on the interior walls and food packages.

  1. Operation: A fan and heater cycle periodically to keep the evaporator free of frost.
  2. Benefit: No need for manual defrosting. Interior remains clean and dry.
  3. Maintenance: Ensure air vents inside the freezer are not blocked by food packages.
  4. Water Drain: Meltwater from the cycle is collected in an evaporation tray at the back of the appliance.

NOTE: A thin layer of hoarfrost on food is normal and not a sign of system failure. The interior walls should remain largely frost-free.

Energy Saving Tips

Ensure correct temperature setting (-18°C / 0°F is sufficient). Keep door seals clean and ensure door closes tightly. Allow hot food to cool before freezing. Regularly defrost food in the refrigerator compartment. Position the freezer away from heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug the appliance before cleaning.

  1. Interior: Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent or a solution of water and baking soda. Rinse with a damp cloth and dry.
  2. Exterior & Door Seal: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. For stainless steel models, use appropriate cleaner.
  3. Condenser Coils: Vacuum the rear grille/coils annually to maintain efficiency (ensure appliance is unplugged).
  4. Evaporation Tray: Under normal conditions, this requires no cleaning as water evaporates automatically.

CAUTION! Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or solvents. Never pour water directly into or over the appliance.
