Installation

Unpack and inspect contents. Remove all packaging materials and transit bolts.

  1. Choose location: Place on stable, level floor away from heat sources and direct sunlight. Ensure adequate ventilation (minimum clearances as specified).
  2. Level the appliance: Adjust front feet to ensure freezer is perfectly level for proper door seal.
  3. Electrical connection: Plug into grounded 120V AC, 60Hz outlet. Do not use extension cords.
  4. Door reversal (if needed): Follow instructions in separate door reversal guide to change hinge side.
  5. Initial rest: Let freezer stand upright for at least 4 hours before first power-on.

WARNING! This appliance is heavy; use two people for moving and installation. Ensure it is not resting on power cord.

First-Time Setup

After installation rest period, power on the freezer.

  1. Initial cooling: Press POWER button. The appliance will begin cooling to factory default setting (approx. -18°C/-0.4°F).
  2. Set temperature: Use + and - buttons on control panel to set desired temperature. Recommended: -18°C for long-term storage.

Storage Guidelines

For optimal food preservation and energy efficiency.

  1. Pre-cool food: Allow warm food to cool to room temperature before freezing.
  2. Package properly: Use airtight, freezer-safe containers or bags to prevent freezer burn.
  3. Label and date: Mark packages with contents and date of freezing.
  4. Do not overload: Ensure air can circulate between items for even cooling.
  5. Organization: Store similar items together. Use baskets and shelves efficiently.
  6. Maximum freezing capacity: Refer to data plate for max amount of fresh food that can be frozen in 24 hours.

Tip: Freeze items in portion sizes for easier thawing. Spread packages out initially, then stack once frozen solid.

NoFrost Technology

Automatic defrosting system for the freezer compartment.

How it works: A fan circulates cold, dry air throughout the compartment. Moisture from food and air is collected on a cold evaporator and automatically defrosted at regular intervals. The water evaporates away. No ice builds up on interior walls or food packages.

Benefits: No manual defrosting required. Consistent temperature. Better food preservation. More storage space (no ice buildup).

Note: You may hear faint fan or dripping sounds during defrost cycles. This is normal.

Alarm Functions

The freezer monitors its status and alerts you to potential issues.

Temperature Alarm: Triggers if interior temperature rises significantly above set point (e.g., due to power failure, door left open, or compressor fault). Display flashes and audible alarm sounds.

Door Open Alarm: Triggers if door is left ajar for more than a set time (e.g., 2 minutes). Display may show door icon.

Response: 1. Check that door is fully closed. 2. Check if a power outage occurred. 3. Ensure vents are not blocked. 4. Press alarm button to mute sound. Alarm light will go out once temperature returns to safe range.

Care & Cleaning

Unplug freezer before cleaning.

  1. Interior: Wipe with soft cloth dampened with mild detergent and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  2. Shelves and bins: Remove and wash with warm soapy water. Dry thoroughly before replacing.
  3. Door seals: Wipe clean with water only to maintain elasticity.
  4. Exterior: Clean with soft damp cloth. For stainless steel models, use appropriate cleaner.
  5. Condenser coil (rear): Vacuum dust buildup annually to maintain efficiency.

CAUTION! Never use steam cleaners, sharp objects, or hot water. Do not clean cold glass shelves with warm water—allow them to warm to room temperature first to prevent cracking.
