Controls and Settings

The electronic control panel is located on the front exterior of the appliance.

Display & Buttons: Digital temperature display, Temperature Up/Down buttons, Fast Freeze button, Alarm Reset/Mute button.

Temperature Setting: Range from -26°C to -14°C (-15°F to 7°F). Press and hold Up/Down buttons to adjust. The display will show the set temperature, then revert to the actual interior temperature.

Fast Freeze Mode: Press the dedicated button. The symbol lights up and the compressor runs continuously for approx. 24 hours to quickly freeze new food. Press again to cancel.

Alarm System: The alarm sounds and a light flashes if the interior temperature rises critically (e.g., due to power failure or door left ajar). Press the Alarm button to mute the sound; the light remains until temperature is restored.

Door Open Alarm: An audible signal sounds if the door is left open for more than 2 minutes.

Storage Organization

Proper organization maximizes efficiency and access.

  1. Shelves (upper section): Ideal for flat packages, frozen vegetables, pizzas, and prepared meals.
  2. Drawers (lower section): Best for bulky items, meat packs, bags of fruit, and irregularly shaped items.
  3. Door Bins: Use for smaller, frequently accessed items like ice packs, butter, cheese, or frozen juice cans.
  4. Labeling: Label and date all packages. Follow the "First In, First Out" (FIFO) principle.
  5. Avoid Blocking Vents: Do not cover the air vents inside the freezer to ensure proper cold air circulation.

Tip: Pre-freeze berries or chopped herbs on a tray before bagging to prevent clumping.

Maintenance & Defrosting

This model features NoFrost technology, so manual defrosting is generally not required. The system automatically prevents ice buildup.

  1. Condensation Drawer: The defrost water evaporates automatically. No need to empty a drip tray.
  2. Exterior Coils: Keep the condenser grille (usually at the back or bottom front) free of dust using a vacuum cleaner brush attachment twice a year.
  3. Gasket Check: Periodically check the door seal (gasket) for cleanliness and tight fit. Wipe with a damp cloth.
  4. Power-Off Cleaning: For a thorough clean, you may unplug the freezer, remove all food, and clean the interior (see Care & Cleaning).

WARNING! Never use sharp objects to remove ice. If a slight frost layer forms (e.g., due to frequent door opening), unplug the unit and let it melt naturally.

Energy Saving Tips

Maximize efficiency to reduce electricity costs.

Before cleaning, unplug the appliance.

  1. Interior: Use a soft cloth dampened with a mild solution of water and baking soda or mild dish soap. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  2. Shelves & Drawers: Remove and wash with warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly before replacing.
  3. Exterior & Door Seal: Wipe with a damp cloth. For stainless steel models, use a cleaner specifically designed for stainless steel appliances.
  4. Condenser Coils: Vacuum the grille gently to remove dust and lint.

CAUTION! Never use steam cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals. Do not pour water into the interior or over the appliance.
