Installation

Unpack and remove all packaging materials. Allow the appliance to stand upright for at least 4 hours before connecting to power.

  1. Choose Location: Place on a level, stable floor away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
  2. Adjust Feet: Use a wrench to adjust the leveling feet for stability.
  3. Clearance: Ensure at least 5 cm clearance at the back and sides for ventilation.
  4. Door Reversal (Optional): Follow instructions in the separate door reversal guide if needed.
  5. Connect Power: Plug into a grounded 220-240V, 50Hz socket. Do not use an extension cord.

WARNING! The appliance is heavy. Use two people for moving and installation to avoid injury.

First-Time Setup

After installation and waiting period, power on the freezer.

  1. Initial Cooling: Turn on the appliance. The empty freezer will take several hours to reach its set temperature.
  2. Set Temperature: Use the control panel to set the desired temperature (recommended -18°C for freezing).
  3. Activate SuperFrost: Before loading large amounts of unfrozen food, activate SuperFrost function 24 hours in advance.
  4. Load Food: Once the target temperature is reached, load your food items, ensuring proper air circulation.

CAUTION! Do not load large quantities of unfrozen food without using the SuperFrost function.

Controls and Settings

The control panel is located on the front exterior of the appliance.

Buttons/Functions: Power On/Off, Temperature Adjustment (+/-), SuperFrost (snowflake icon), SuperCool, Alarm Reset, Child Lock.

Temperature Setting: Press the temperature button and use +/- to set between -24°C and -16°C. -18°C is recommended for long-term storage.

SuperFrost: Activates intensive freezing for approx. 26 hours or until manually switched off. Indicator light will be on.

SuperCool: Rapidly cools the compartment for approx. 6 hours.

Alarm: An audible beep and flashing display indicate a door left open or a temperature fault.

Child Lock: Press and hold the Child Lock button (key icon) for 3 seconds to activate/deactivate.

Using the Freezer

For optimal performance and food preservation.

  1. Preparing Food: Allow cooked food to cool to room temperature before freezing. Package food in airtight containers or freezer bags.
  2. Loading: Do not overpack. Allow space between items for air circulation. Place frequently used items at the front.
  3. Storage Times: Adhere to recommended storage times for different food types (see food guide in manual).
  4. Defrosting (if needed): The NoFrost system typically prevents ice build-up. If cleaning requires defrosting, unplug the appliance and let ice melt naturally.

Tip: Label packages with contents and date to keep track of storage time.

Special Functions

NoFrost: Operates automatically. Circulates dry air to prevent condensation and ice formation on food and interior walls.

BioFresh Compartment: Maintains a temperature just above 0°C with higher humidity, ideal for preserving the freshness, vitamins, and taste of fruits, vegetables, fish, and dairy for longer.

Holiday Mode: If going away for an extended period with an empty freezer, you can switch to a higher temperature setting to save energy.

Care & Maintenance

Unplug the appliance before any cleaning.

  1. Interior: Clean with a solution of warm water and mild detergent. Wipe dry.
  2. Exterior & Door Seals: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
  3. Condenser Coil (rear): Vacuum the dust grille at the back once or twice a year to maintain efficiency.
  4. Defrost Water Drain (if applicable): Check and clear the drain hole if you notice water accumulation.

CAUTION! Never use sharp objects to remove ice. Never use steam cleaners.

This appliance complies with relevant EU Directives and standards. It contains flammable refrigerant (R600a) and insulating foam. Disposal must be performed by authorized personnel.
