Maintenance & Defrosting

The NoFrost system eliminates the need for manual defrosting. However, basic maintenance is required.

  1. Condensate Evaporator: No user service required. The system automatically evaporates moisture.
  2. Cleaning the Interior: See Care & Cleaning section.
  3. Vacuuming the Condenser: (Located at rear bottom) Unplug appliance. Gently vacuum dust from the grille every 6-12 months to maintain efficiency.
  4. Long Storage: If not using for extended periods, unplug, defrost (if any ice), clean, dry, and leave door slightly ajar to prevent odors.

WARNING! Never use sharp tools to remove ice. Never use electrical appliances inside the freezer to speed defrosting.

Energy Saving Tips

  1. Set temperature to -18°C; each degree lower increases energy use by ~5%.
  2. Ensure door seals are clean and tight. Test by closing a piece of paper in the door; it should be held firmly.
  3. Open door as briefly and infrequently as possible.
  4. Do not place appliance near ovens, radiators, or in direct sunlight.
  5. Allow hot food to cool completely before freezing.
  6. Ensure adequate ventilation around the appliance.
  7. Keep the condenser (rear grille) dust-free.

Care & Cleaning

Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance.

  1. Interior: Use a soft cloth dampened with warm water and mild detergent. Wipe shelves, liners, and compartments. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly.
  2. Exterior & Door Seal: Clean with a soft, damp cloth. For stainless steel models, use appropriate cleaner. Clean door gasket carefully to remove food residue.
  3. Shelves & Baskets: Can be removed and washed in warm, soapy water. Dry completely before reinstalling.
